Whazzup everybody. Just joined this forum and i own a '92 vr-4 that's spun a bearing and is now receiving a complete blueprinted rebuild, w/ new internals and test-pipe, mbc, downpipe, cats and precats done, and should be at about 395 (i think). Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. :grinyes:

first off, i don't know shit. i just got the car in early oct. and when i sent it to dealer to be fixed they put a $2k band-aid on a 200,000 mile engine (car is still beautiful, very few scratches and NO dents). After i got her running i got on 3si and us3s (2 3000/stealth forums) and these guys specialize in just our car. my guy is an engineer in auburn alabama. i live in clanton, alabama so drive is like 1hr 45min drive. i'm getting several thousand dollars in savings. you got to get a guy in your area who is good. our cars are older and to run in tip-top performance you get one and start replacing the obvious and then after you drive the hell out of it you replace the not-so-obvious-before-parts that you broke while racing. (and hope u don't spin a bearing like i did. let me know if anyone close enough to alabama wants more info on my mechanic. :smokin:

mine is in storage too yogs

but for a different reason, oil leaking near cam gears

got a tech who's slowly working on it, for basically nothing, so if i can get it fixed without paying, then hell, he can take all the time he wants :)

sorry for highjacking your thread, welcome :)

UAH engineers > Auburn engineers

anyways, you got someone in your city that has a 1st gen candy orange vr-4, he's cool as hell and he'll know more about that car than anyone in auburn will.

yea, i know about the meet. Unfortunately, josh knows that the huntsville crew can't make it. A couple of the cars a out of commission, couple of guys are off at school, ones up in nashville for med school, i can't get away from work cause i'm just starting a new job and wont have enough time in the company to ask off, its just a huge mess for all of us up here. I'm hoping that all of us up here can get everything organized by sometime this summer and attend a summer meet.
