So what do you do for work?
I start tomorrow for the entire summer (like the last one) doing CAD for my dad. I make $15 an hour.
It's a pretty freakin' boring job, but it pays good enough.
You?

Just a guess, but I don't think that anti-ad helps your stock options

Well, not to impose on the AOL members. But the majority of them would be better off with WebTV. So, as long as there are the not so computer literate. I am not worried about my stock options. I do not like AOL as a company to the public. They have some major issues. Now AOL for a employer, is great.

Im glad I dont work in a high profile industry anymore, I used to pump gas for a few years, and some of the abuse I would get over silly things that were in the Media was amazing. Customers Honestly thought I was responsible for the riseing prices, or the accusations of price fixing. In thier minds they were unable to seperate me as an employee just paid to do a basic job from the people in Managment of the oil companies in thier offices in Wellington.

:monkeypis on the Customers, and OSH.

i don't consider marijuana a drug..... if i did than i'd say alcohol and cigarette's are drugs too

nobody has EVER died from marijuana use, not 1 person......
while 100s of thousands die each year from alcohol counting drinking and driving...... marijuana isn't bad for your body either, so what's the problem? people are just too up tight..... i consider every other drug, like acid, coke, etc. a real drug, i wouldn't touch those with a 10 foot pole

I have heard that soooo many times, it is way old. Yes, myself I consider all of the above, a drug. Pot does ruin your life. My friend, had a great job, stock options, great pay, great benefits. he was also a pot smoker. One day he came to work high. He did not do his job right, he started sending phone calls out to other people, becasue he didnt feel like handeling the issues. Well, after doing this half the night, the employer started monitoring things. He was so high, he couldnt talk to customers straight. Well, to make a long story short, he got fired. Now he babysits mentally handicapped people for minimum wage. No benefits, no future. Now, im not saying helping out the handicapped is bad. But volunteer for it instead. He lives paycheck to paycheck now, spending as much as he can on pot. Its always pot this, pot that. Thats just one story. Want more? I have a few more to tell.

Alcohol and nicotine are drugs. Smoking marijuana has all the negative effects of smoking tobacco, just the physiological effect of the drug is different. Emphizyma(sp?), tar in your lungs, heart disease. Smoke is bad for your body. Smoking anything is bad for you.

You can't blame marijuana for that. Blame the guy for smoking it at an inappropriate time. The same thing could happen if someone is drowsy off of medication.

Yes, marijuana is a drug, but it is a drug that should deffinately not be illegal.

Of course, we cant blame the drug. Ok, here is a nother story. Five of my friends, are up in the mountains, they decide to get high. After there little pot smoking spree, they start to make the normally easy drive home. They thought it would be cool, to try and drift the turns, in a old ass station wagon. They end up, drifting a little to much, and go over the side of the road. No bi deal. No one was seriously hurt, such a few bumps. They get out, survey the situation, and notice they are high centered on a log. So, they go and find on of those reflector post, that is on the side of the road. Once the get it pulled out, they come up with the smart idea, to put that under the back tire, while someone punches the gas. Well, we all can see what will happen next. When they punched the gas, and the post goes flying. It nails one of my friends in the head, splitting his fore head open. So, while he lay there bleeding, they eventually get the car unstuck, and drive him to the hospital. Now, would they have tried that if they were not high? I would say they would be smart enough to not do that, if they were sober. But, again, it must not be the weeds fault, it was thiers, right?

Lizard King

I'm not really a smoker anymore. But when I was I was never made to do stupid things by the effects of the smoke. It simply didn't have that kind of effect.
I've know a huge amount of pot smokers and none got into any accidents while stoned. In fact it made us drive more carefully.

kris
07-11-2001, 05:10 PM
You know, people who drink and drive, say they drive more carefull too. I wonder if they think that when they kill some little girl in a accident. I would hate to drive down a road, where everyone is high off their ass.
