tranny probs

I've just replaced the tranny fluid on my 95z28 (38k miles) with mobile1 synthetic atf
after i drove it for a while i noticed that first to second doesn't shift as hard and the overall feel of the tranny shifts sucks any ideas or comments?

Did you check to make sure that you put in too little or too much fluid? That would be the most simple of problems.

i put the approximate 5 quarts in and it's still barely showing on the dipstick i don't know to follow the dipstick or the manuel

well put the car on level ground, run the engine till warm, and while in park/neutral pull out the dipstick. Read the dipstick.
