My first time

No this isn’t about prom night. So if that’s what you came in here for get your minds out of they gutter :loser:
Wednesday December 29 2004 will forever be a day that I will remember. Here’s how it all went down. Me and my dad took a trip up to Mass. from Connecticut to see our mechanic. I know I know its a long drive to see a mechanic but he’s a family friend and does good work. Anyways my friend Elias and his dad were also meeting us up there in their Audi A6. My friends 1990 325i bimmer was already up there after getting a new head gasket and check up. So the drive goes as planed as we work our way up narrow sand covered roads up to our mechanics. (He lives in the boonies) We get there around 11AMish but my friends not there yet. So I help our mechanic Shawn change the head gasket on my friends bimmer which I was surprised how simple and quick it was. The cam and valves on that car are SOO CLEAN. (The last owner rebuilt the engine) So after we do that I change the fluids in the car and let it run so all the fluids can circulate. That’s when Elias and his dad get there. So our parents go about there business working on there cars and me and Elias slip out of the garage.
It was a little cold so I put my jacket on and talked with my friend about his car. He was kind of bummed that he did get to see the inside of his engine so I was telling him how good it looked. After talking for a bit we get bored and decide to fire the car up. He lets me hope in the driver seat (he’s cool like that) and 170hp of Bavarian inline goodness came to life with a smooth low purr. So we sit there for a few minutes just listening to the car and talking about how it sounds when my friend goes "lets take her out" :evillol: Tight twisty empty road were just begging us to unleash this rwd drive beast...and a little adolescent recklessness. :sunglasse I looked at him with a huge grin and just nodded. As I pulled to end of the dirt driveway and stopped to look for cars (what cars were in the boonies) It felt like when your double checking to make sure your girlfriends dad isn’t home before you undo her bra. I put her (the car) in first and pulled slowly out of the driveway. They don’t plow there driveway so I didn’t want to spin. As I crawl along my friend goes "what you waiting for hit it" so I press in the clutch bring the rpms up to only like 4000rmp I think. I wasn’t really watch more concentrating and watching...you guys know what I mean, like I was getting in the zone. So when it felt right I popped the clutch and mashed the gas. The half warn nittos screamed to life and the smooth inline six purr changed to lions roar. I’m pinned back in my seat holding on but not really scared, the car felt really in control even with the rear wheels lighting it up. Before I knew it I was about to bounce off the red line so I banged it to second and went half throttle which still made the nittos bark in agony. I hit 60 on this straight and then had to get on the brakes hard for a 90 degree upgrade turn which I then zipped through with out much problem. I coasted down the back straight and looked at Elias he had on a smile as big as mine. We decided to head back (we had only been gone 5 minutes) to see if our dads had noticed we left. I just cruised down the straight in third doing 40mph when we came back to that turn from before. "Dude try and drift it" I didn’t answer because we were about to hit the turn. Now that nice upgrade had changed to a nasty down grade left. I geared down to second and trail braked into the turn. As we hit the apex I mashed the gas. As expected the rear end kicked out big time, which even though I wanted this to happen it scared the hell out of me so I counter steered and snapped it back straight. Ok so it wasn’t a REAL drift but there was no way I was going to try and HOLD a drift THROUGH a corner. I mean I have been driving for almost a year in march but I have even less seat time in a manual and.....I don’t have that license thingy yet :cwm27: (Parents want me to wait till im 17 in march) So anyways we get back to the garage. As im sitting there in the car im shaking. Not with fear but adrenaline. We go in to check up on our parents. There working on my dads landy laughing about something and listening to journey.....ewww :loser: So we got away with it sweet. Now we chill for a bit and have pizza and coke (Pepsi is for queers) for lunch.
Now that we got away with that of course we want more. This time we decide to go left out the drive way. This way has all the turns except for a short slight up hill straight. It starts with a down hill section which I breeze through at 50. Then I hit the first of two really hard left handers which have a slush sand covering which doesn’t help. Right off the bat I brake hard and half throttle through the turn which kicks the tail out at like maybe a 45 degree angle and HOLD it for 1 to 2 seconds and then I have one of the ugliest exits you have ever seen. I waged the tail both ways worse then Cole Iketani  After I regain traction I roar up the one straight in this section hitting 65 I think, Again not really watching the Speedo but when I glanced down midway up the straight I I was at 50 so its a pretty good guess. Then I hit the other hard left which I tried to just grip through but I locked up in the turn which made for a slow but tire spinning exit :icon16: I slammed her it to third and the tail stepped in line immediately and I sped on. The trip back Elias drove but ill just talk about my drives. Again we head back to the garage and now our dad's and Shawn are having a few bears working on my friends dads Audi.
So now we go upstairs above the garage where Shawn’s nephews had gotten back. There like our age so we hung out and played NFSU2 on PS2 (Its better on xbox) Well they go and have dinner and me and Elias go back out side. Its dark and cold and we should be leaving soon but there’s time for one last ride :grinyes: I go right where we went the first time and stop the car on the back straight heading back to the garage. I bring the RPMs up to 2500 to 3000rpm, this time I wanted to do a real launch. I popped the clutch, bam the already badly beaten nittos whale in one last whoa. I make slight corrections as the rear tries to step out like the best friend on a double date. I bounce off the rev limiter "shit" I slip into second and whoops no traction there either. Just as im about to hit third I regain traction and coast back to the speed limit hitting that down grade left hander again at a little above the speed limit and park the car back at the garage. We walk back into the garage now our dads and Shawn are sitting around the computer watching what I think was the guy from journey at a concert  I kid you not.
That will be a day/night I will never forget. I already knew I was hooked on cars and probably racing but after getting my feet wet I know im hooked for life. See what you guys have done to me...thanks :bigthumb:

all that with 170 hp? BTW Journey is fucking awesome. But, NFSU2, i actually ran out of things to do. Their are no races what so ever, there arent even any out run type races, and i'm outta money, so now its kinda worthless.

Well it also has 160lb-tq which isnt a lot but for about a 2700lb rwd car it gets up and moves, but as I noted the sandy/salty roads helped.
And for the NFSU2 thing you need to up your star rating. Samething happened to my friend. If you drive around they give you cash and look for hidden races.

hmm...i wish my maxima could do that...IF it were rear wheel drive...but then again...my maxima has 193,500 i mean yea i kno its FWD...but its also 5 speed...and it doesn't spin tires THAT much...it comes out of the factory with 160..and i prolly have about that much now cuz i've done some modifications to it...but it doesn't spin them THAT much...and 10 hp isn't that much different...i dunno...maybe im just not really tryin hard enough to get the tires to spin THAT long...the most i've done is take it to 3K and drop the clutch...i got some pretty good tire spin from that...almost hit redline...but i let off slightly so i wouldn't then shifted
