Are you sure the new drums are the right one's? Did you reconnect the parking brake properly? I do my own brakes on my 96 and I know that the rear drums are kind of a bitch.

actually i just bought the truck and everything for the parking brake is missing so its just the shoes and adjuster (which now has to be manually adjusted of course) also i compared the new and old drums, they were exactly the same

Ok then are you sure about the Shoes and your work? I think I would go through the steps again just to be sure. I always check my manual with the damn rears.

I have taken them apart three times and put them back together only to get the same results haha but I think ill throw the old shoes on and see if it does the same and if so ill just have to take it to an auto shop, thanks for your help

Yeah check that out. The shops will probably try to ream you and say you need new drums. Good luck. Check back, I'm sure someone else will have some ideas on the problem.
