Celica Fuel Pump question?

I have a really stupid question i have a 1990 celica GT-S and was wonderin....when you turn the ignition swich to the run position does the fuel pump turn on and stay on.. :eek7: .. or... :eek7: . does it turn on for like 2 seconds and shut off until you you have low pressure and turn on again???..

i have a 90 gts too ilooked in the fuse box and there is no fuse in the feul pump fuse but it runs fine whats that about

It should run till its built up enough pressure then turn off.

yes...i usually turn mine to on for about 2 seconds then turn it over..
