power lock not working

The power lock on my 1993 Grand Cherokee passenger door is lazy. It works very seldomly, and is sluggish--it will try to move a little but just doesnt seem to have the pop that the other automatic locks have. Anyone know what this might be or how to repair it yourself? Thanks!
