Airbag Light

I recently was in a small accident where I hit my lebaron against a guard rail at a relitively low speed. The steering rack was snapped, but other than that the car is fine.

My Question is why is my air bag light coming on and staying on? It has been on ever since we hit the guard rail. If anyone has any ideas its appreciated. Thanks.

Your SRS (supplemental restraint system) has detected a fault within the system and needs immediate attention. If you were involved in a serious accident right now, your airbags would not work.
