hey guys I have a few questions for you. My friend got a 92 eclipse(sohc) today and he's looking for general areas to look into before modifying it in any way. I know it has a blown head gasket and possibly bad rings so I was wondering what was needed to do a sohc(1.8L) to dohc(2.0?) conversion as far as ECU, tranny, ect... and I was wondering what the best bang for the buck upgrades we could do. and as far as subframe are the 2wd and awd the same or would he have to get a whole diffrent subframe?

nope, the 1.8L is 8 Valve SOHC
