Is it worth it to get the sony DSC-F505V, or just save my money and get the Sony DSC-F707V?

I'll use it to take some artsy/zoom/strange pics, but other than that, just need a good digicam...

my advice is always stick with a manufacturer that has a background in cameras. not electronics. but.... if you're branded then i'd say either go with what fits your budget. or if you plan on getting a nicer camera later... then just get the cheaper one now to hold you over......

Cool. Yeah, I was reading some reviews on epinions.com, but I also like the Nikon Coolpix 4000....

I really like the f505, so I think I'll get that one, but I really don't need to do super clear pics, just some nice stuff...

like i said... my only advice to you or anyone at any price point is this:
stick with manufacturers that have a background in cameras and optics. not electronics.

the best of the best from sony or panasonic or HP or anyone like that will never come close to the top of the top for canon or nikon.... I think :-)

Yeah, I've seen some of the Nikon Top of the lines, which are phenominal, but I've also seen some pretty nice, clear shots from Sony's F505V's And F707V's. Makes me wonder, has sony actually done something right?

Of coarse, the anwser would be no. unless you buy the 5.24 MP F707, you don't even get a view finder...Wake up sony...
