I was just out in my garage inspecting the GTP when i noticed that water was coming in through the fenderwell air hole and getting all over my new intense PCM!!! WTF, i almost shit myself. What can i do to prevent the PCM from getting ruined, right now i have no tray for it, and i have a 97 GTP with the stupid ass coolant bottle right in the way, i have to get the 99+ style ans switch it. Also, i noticed something else. I had a coolant flush and fill done today at a local shop (Not an oil change place) but when i looked in my overflow tank to see what kinda job they had done on cleaning it, i noticed that my coolant was green. Exscuse me if i am wrong, but isn't the coolant suppose to be Dex-Cool which is orange????? Am i going to have to go to the local shop with a Mr. Easton in hand???

If they flushed all the Dexacrap out then you'll be ok. If they didnt then there is a chance that the dex + green stuff will form into a jello like sustance.

Water is not going to hurt your PCM.The 2 connectors are water sealed tight. If you are worried, get yourself an MSP cai and it comes with a nice PCM tray.Ive had the MSP for over 5 years and have been very happy with it.

yeah, how hard is it to move my coolant bottle, just my luck i have a 97. It seems like the only hard part would be cutting the hose that goes into the bottle. Are there directions out there on how to do this..... Big L, im waiting..... :)

Don't want to hear from me?
You have to buy the bottle from a 1999 or above (99-2003). The hardest part is to fasten the bottom of the bottle. Rest is pretty easy.
Here's the listing. Bottle is on the right

what listing? bad link i think kid. Anyways, to get any CAI its gunna run me around 300$ :( I dont think that is going to be worth it, although i will never know until i try. The Whizaired is 215 plus i need a 45$ K&N filter plus a 37$ new coolant bottle. iunno yall. for 300$ could anyone think of a better mod to go with, even though that CAI could open up some awsome power with the u-bend, resonator delete and a 3.4 pulley

Dont even have to cut the hose.I just removed the end from the radiator and then pulled hard and it came out.Just like Jim said, the bottom of the bottle is the hard part.
First thing I had done was place the 99 bottle on the top of the strut tower and made sure the bottom sat flush with the side. Then drilled the top 2 holes and used some selftapping screws, now what sucks with 97s are that we dont have a mounting hole on the bottom for the bottle.I used some very sticky Velcro to hold down the bottom of mine, just remember that you will need to clean the surface very well before applying the Vecro.Mines be holding for 5 years with no problems.

I used a pull tie. Verco was a good idea.
Guy. Check link again. Or go to pfyc.com and look at "under hood".

OK Guy,
I'll do you slowly. It's an AD. You wrote us to ask us what we thought of it.
Buy the Thrasher. You will be happy.
If you don't want to listen to anyone, buy what you think you will be happy with.
Be safe tonight, enjoy yourself.
