Hmm, well I have this dilemma. I just got a new 2002 honda civic ex last november and already im frustrated with it. Its too godamn slow. the only problem is i know nothing about cars. Can somebody please please tell me where to begin, what to buy, and where to get it etc. And humor me, use laymens terms. I know for a fact i wont be able to decode any car guy jargon. and if anyone has some suggestions for informative websites that might help i would forever be in your debt. thanks.

oh, welcome to AF! :)

sell me your engine, and swap a B18C5 into it. more power for you, more power for me.

First of all welcome to AF! I would start with the basic bolt ons such as intake, headers and exhaust.

a b18c5 would not fit into a 2002 civic without major modification

i hate to hear when people tell other people this, but if you know nothing about tuning a car and want one to go faster, why dont you just sell it and buy another one thats faster.
if you dont want to do all that i would suggest not going with the ususal 1000 dollar trip for Intake Header and Exhaust. its just doesnt make enough power. i would suggest a Nitrous kit and have someone install it for you.
good luck

Helms manual....dont have it but i've heard lots about it
and keep reading here on pur..uhmm af
you won't believe how much I've learned just for being here
A 2002 civic is damn expensive....why buy it in first place if you want power...get a used Si and enjoy DOHC Vtec...if only they existed in Canada and NOT by an imposter name such as SiR Type-$$$$$$$$$
...Congrats on your new civic though (I hope its Stick)
