Just wondering if anyone has tried to use a pg7 ecu on a d16a6. im just guessing it might mess with the idle a little but should increase the redline and have better timing. mabey.

Bump - I have the same question - has anybody done this - do you notice a difference in power. Lower fuel economy. What differences do you notice?

well i just got back from chapters and i was reading this months honda tuning magazine and there is a article in it called "rex & me" it said he was using a pg7 ecu and it had a more agressive fuel map at low to mid range rpm. he also had a mini-me setup but that's beside the point. my friend has a 89 integra in his 3rd gen civic with the pg7 so im gonna try it probubly next week. i'll let ya know.

Yeah, it'll work as long as you have Mutli-port injection on there and not the DPFI one. But it will work.

Also, I think it bumps your redline up too. The fuel cut off is up there, but I just can't remember though over the PM6 si ecu.

I just installed one on my 90 EX and it wouldn't start. I've got the D16A6 installed - it would turn over, but wouldn't start. Any reason why this would be?

Does this Ecu also work with an auto tranny on a D16A6 engine?

no it won't work with the auto transmission, also I tried it and I did notice a gain but but the car had a slight lag when first hitting the gas pedal. It seemed it would lose a couple of rpm went lightly tapping the gas pedal and then rev up. but acceleration was a lot better when it did.I'll probably keep one for the track but day to day driving it gets kind of anoying.
