99 brake lights

Has anyone else had this problem? Brake lights always burning out and the housing melting has there been a recall on that or not HELP

I've had to replace the circuit board in my rear tail light assembly after the warranty expired. That fixed the problem. Maybe it was because I had the lights hooked up for a trailer. Everything's so expensive to replace. Sigh.

Yes, I have had this problem with my 99 Malibu. The rear lights kept burning out because the plastic base was melting. The dealer told me to use bulbs with a glass base instead of plastic and I haven't had the problem since.

Has anyone else had this problem? Brake lights always burning out and the housing melting has there been a recall on that or not HELP
