I have two 04 wj with I6 today one had the check engine light come on I pulled the code one was 0135 = 02 sensor heater element malfunction That one is no problem to fix the other two code I dont get My other 04 wj with an I6 no check engine light It also has codes 1489-1490
1489 = High speed radiator fan malfunction and 1490 low speed radiator fan malfunction the problem is the fan works on bougth cars I had them running and they whould come on and off normal and they come on with the a/c on It looks like the one car with the bad 02 sensor had put on the light but the 1489-1490 codes never bought out the light and the fans do work this one has me stumed
Ok here is a update went back top the dealership
They check it out and said all sensors are working and my problem was that all that was needed was to have the computer re-flashed all so told me that I Had after market fog lights that might had caused the problem but the re-flash should do the trick
I have the power to fog lights hook in to one of the wires to going to the head light
I guess find another way to hook them up
The question is what do they do to flash the PCM they said my PCM was outdated I have only had it for 6 months and if this is the problem
should jeep have contact me about my car haveing an outdated PCM
