95 engine wont start

hi guys... im new :-)

well today i was rearranging my speaker set up, and when i was finished, i went to start my car and the only thing that started was my accessory... no engine, no nothing... i think it might be my spark plug but im not sure... which is why im asking you guys... if someone could please help me out that would be great, thanks.

also, everytime i even try to start the car... the 'alarm' that never normally works goes off and keeps me from doing anything... dont ever mess with it so i dont know where it is, nor how to turn it off... please help guys!!!

It worked until you fixed it right?
What I'm saying is if you were under the dash and NOW coincidently it wont start, that is where to START looking. Pulled wires or connectors off somewhere. (ignition switch?) It is very hard to even suggest other than that.

no, wasnt under the dash... i moved my amplifier from the back to under my front seat..

i think it might be the starter? or at least the solenoid contacts... its got 85k miles... sounds right, from what ive read.

How did you fix this? My 1996 4runner is doing the same thing. It won't even turn over. The battery is fully charged. Help!

I had a similar problem to those listed (clicking when I turned the key) on my 96 4runner with 75K miles and like some of the posts suggested replacing the contact relays did the trick. Removing the starter was much more difficult than some people suggested however it was a breeze to change after that. The parts cost $5 dollars and I haven't had a problem since. Thanks for the help saved me a ton of money!
