Is a tbi unit ok to use when running a 70 shot of nos ?
I seen some stuff on ebay for nitrous tbi units but I was curious if anyone has done this or been advised against it

tbi is fine with a 70 shot of nos.. as long as the tb and fuel delivery system is up to par.. are you using a kit? or are you just going to put something together yourself?

I was going to use like a cheater plate. I don't really feel like spending 500 for a kit. put muh own shiats together for less than half of that.

TBI operates the same as a carb as far as the nitrous is concerned, so yeah, should be fine. juust make sure you have enough air and fuel to make it safe.

I got plenty of air. Since I put on that ram intake to my tbi unit , it's been nuts with sucking air. I don't want to because it's complicated but if I have to , I will convert it one way or another to true cold air intake that way I know for a fact I am getting enough air. But as of know , I think I will buy the lines and tank then and get the cheater plate so I don't have to go with the kit. I don't know anything really about nitrous systems so I was wondering if I went with the cheater plate , that would make the NOS hit my cylinders before the fuel , the fuel detonation would follow the nos detonation. Would that be ok too ? Or do I need to figure something else out ? The technicalities of it are beyond me. I just know how to bolt shit together.

You really should get a kit then. The kits have all of the right parts already there. Guessing on what you need will lead to disaster.
