Cig Lighter for 95 Avalon won't work

On the same fuse as the Radio and it works. Lighter has been replaced. Any other suggestions?

have you tried replacing the fuse for the Radio?

Can't be 100% sure becuase yours is a '95, but the standard wiring for a 2001 Avalon does not fuse the radio and cig lighter on the same fuse. Cig lighter is a 15A fuse thru the ACC circuit from the ignition swith and is on the same circuit as the 115V outlet (if you have one).

Is your radio OEM? If not, I suspect someone installed it using the cig lighter fuse, or just inserted a fuse in the wire. Check continuity of that wire, and that power is going to/getting to the cig lighter. Also check the ground for the lighter. If you're getting power and you have ground, then so long as you key is turned to ACC or ON, you should have a working lighter unless the lighter itself is bad.

May sound stupid but make sure the lighter is plugged in from the back. I had the same issue w/a Camry I have, thought it was the fuse, but it had somehow pulled out from the back.

Thanks for the replies. I was able to get it working. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what I did. I took it out and reconnected it.......may have had a loose connection, but it works.
