My sister bought this for my son this XMas. I have the smaller versions of these light up toys from BOLEY but I didn't know they made a 1/12 till he opened this gift. :eek7:

I found out they also come in Yellow, Blue, and Gunmetal Gray and they retail for about $30. The display base comes with a car-show style plexiglass board that has the vehicle details on it.

My nephew received an R/C 1/14 scale orange 350Z also made by the same company. I'll have to get pics of that soon, too. It only runs on 6AA batteries so it's not that fast, but still looks cool and he's 6 yrs old so he loves it.

ive seen that 1/12 before, the only reason i dont have one already is that theres something about the side skirts and middle section of the car that doesnt jive with me. i think the side skirts look too cartoony, and to be in scale IMO the car needs to be longer in inches, but yeah for a 6 year old who cares

THe car looks disproportionate

Oh, thats what it would look like if Jada did a 1:12. The wheels maybe could be robbed for a 1:12 model :naughty:

the detail is pretty nice, but the side skirts are ugly, and that damn intercooler mustn't be that blinged out, and further back. i like the thing they did round the exhaust but thats more for racing vehicles:(

the Foldgers' exhaust is a little big-eh?

Just for reference, for my hot rod since the rims look rather large; Could you measure the rims in inches and tell me the actual size of them (not fullsize)?

the detail looks good in the engine bay, and the interior looks good as well. although i hate the hood, the whole thing would be a great project car.

That looks like somthing a six yearold would love. When i was six, i got a old Suburban and it was pimped out, and i loved it lol unfortunatley, when i was 10, i thought it would be cool to put in the fireplace. BIG mistake.

I see many comments on the cartoonish look, as expected. That's the whole point of these toys, just like the JADA line. If you've seen the smaller 1/32 scale Redline Tuners from BOLEY this is just on a bigger scale. I do agree on the side skirts being ugly, and I'd love to see one of these modified and toned down a bit by one of the more talented members here.

GTMike400, I've been following your scratch build hot rod progress. You came to mind as I was posting the pictures and I prepared myself by measuring the wheel/tire combo for you.

Front rims 2-5/16 x 1-1/16
with tires 2-3/8 x 1-1/8
Rear rims 2-1/8 high x 1-1/16 wide
with tires 2-1/2 high x 1-1/8 wide

Tire markings- YOKOHAMA ADVAN A032R
front 285/40/R18
rear 295/40/R19

With some repainting and detailing these wheels would look cool on other 1/12 models.

Hmm, those just might work. Are the rear wheels smaller than front? The measurement you gave was 3/16" smaller than the front. Or did you just mix them up?

Hey, at least you aren't on of those punk kids who thinks the skyline and supra are the fastest cars ever, because they saw them in "The Fast and the Furious". I've gotten in arguments with people like that over whether or not one of the skylines from the 70's was actually a skyline. :disappoin Oh, and Nissan owns Infiniti if I'm not mistaken.

lol I know Nissan owns Infiniti. Thats why the Armada looks just like the QX56, and the rest of them lol

My dads G35 would smoke a Supra.

I'm not big into Modifying cars.
When i get into drag racing. I'll just take my dads cars to the race strip, and drag all the kids in their supped up cars, and you know what? I'll probably beat them because my dads got a good taste in cars. *winks* -_*

G35XAndTrailBlazer, a Silvia is a car made by Nissan, Silvia is the Japanese name for it in other markets it is known as: 200SX, Gazelle (early models). i think that it also had some other models such as 180SX and Sil-80 based on it, (correct me if i'm wrong) the S-15 in this thread has an SR-20 engine with cold air intake, custom turbo's ETC.

BTW i own a metallic green one with the TRUST logo down the side, in green it looks a little less exagerated.

oh, and GTMIKE400, if it matters, the tread on the tyres is accurate for ADVANS, i looked it up.

GTMike, maybe I mixed up the front and rear, or just my math is rusty. LOL

Anyway, the front and rear are same width. The rears are just a tad bit bigger in diameter. They're suppose to be a scale inch bigger in the back since it's a staggered setup.

And the company that makes the model is BOLEY
