i was wondering what the average miles per gal. is on a 2000 v6. with my shit exhaust, its killing me. i put 10 dollars in gas in my car that will give me about 4.4 - 4.7 gals of gas. depends on how much the towel heads want to charge us. it about 2.00 a gal now , it was up to about 245 a gal here in NY. anyways, i get about 65-70 miles with that gas. its come out to be around 13-14 miles per gal. thats not normal is it?

Oh cry kids....My Gt drinks gas like it's on prohibition, and then burps out a "low fuel" warning to taunt me.

That method of trying to estimate mileage is so wrong. Go fill the car completely up. Drive it for however long you want, record mileage. Go fill it up completely. Gas put in / miles driven = mileage. 13 MPG in a stock V6 is hard to do unless you drive like an irritating cunt everywhere.

weird, I just calculated it, and my 95 GT is getting anywhere from 15 to 20mpg.

I do step on the gas quite a bit, but even when I don't I'm only getting about 20mpg. Is this normal?

All three of my mustangs average about 19~21 miles per gallon. I hit an average of 290~320 miles per tank and I usually put in 14.4~14.7 gallons of fuel each fill up. I only fill up on the light, after I have driven about 20 miles into the light. This is durring the summer months. Durring winter, the gas mileage drops, I average 260~290 miles per tank. This is between the months of October~Feburary. I think it's because of the Winter blend of fuel, but it could possible be weather related.

My brother who also has a 03 GT is getting aroud 220-250miles per tank. and his wife is getting around 270~300 per tank with her Mach 1.

My GT(5 Speed) currently has 3:55's
My 01 V6 (5speed) has 3:73's
My wife's 00 V6(auto) has 3:73's
my bother's GT(5 Speed) has 4:10's
his wife's Mach 1(auto) has 3:73's.

your also using you heater and defroster in the winter thats is run off the A/C belt. i think that would make the difference.

Actually, I don't ever use the AC, I should check to see if it even works. I usually use the defroster from time to time. When the heater is on, it's just the electric blower that is above the passenger feet that turns on, not the AC pump itself. The heater will only draw electricity, but won't use engine power itself. I have a electric water pump from Meziere, which is nice, and also uses electic power.

my V6 (2004) gets 18-21 city and 22-26 highway. I use premium fuel and I HAVE noticed a significant difference. Is it my imagination?
