Anybody gone Paintballing?

I just went with 12 friends on Saturday. Best time of my life. We played for 8 hours and got rained out. (We were supposed to play 9 or 10) but, it was fun nonetheless. If you haven't gone before and aren't a wuss, go! It dosen't hurt nearly as much as they say. One of my friends was wearing a T-Shirt and Shorts and he was fine except when he got hit in the arm a point blank range (A small bleeding welt was left) It is so much fun cause yo get to let all of your stress and anger go thorugh a barrel and Co2. I myself got hit in the face twice (They have masks so you don't even feel it) and once in the neck by a regular their. If you like Half-Life and crap, play this, it is better and dosen't rot your brain. The guns themselves are the best part. Firing 1 cm or so diameter paint-filled balls at 250 feet per second. It is quite fun. If you go, remember to wear moderate to heavy clothing, overalls work great and a neck gaurd & jock are essential. It is pricey but, worth it.

I've gone before, GREAT fun, but REALLY EXPENSIVE. I had to pay like 40 to register, 90 for paint, 40 for the gun and mask...

Anyway. the first time I went I only hit like 2 people. My gun was crap; breaking paint every shot, not even shooting that far. The second time I went I got a much better gun, I lit up some guys, and one round I got 5 kills. It was like 12 on 12. w00t!!!

Ya, big teams are better. I didn't hit too many people either. There was one instance where my firend 9On opposite team) was behind a bunker and I didn't know he was there. I cam barreling around the corner, he yelled surrender. 9I thought he was surrendering) an d I freaked and unloaded on him. His whole hopper was covered in paint. Prices for me. $15 to get in, $40 for 500 paintballs, and the food is free. Sounds like mine was a bit less.

DAMN IT! I gotta find a cheaper place. Well, I usually spend 100-150 when I go. I go with my older cousin when I go. A funny thing happened: We were all under cover and firing at the enemy (like you do in paintball). I was behind a bunker, and my cousin was behind my position behind a big tree. I told him I'd cover him, and I started laying down some cover fire. He ran out, tripped on a root, fell down on top of his gun, and broke it. Then he got lit up. I was laughing my ass off.

Another time I was hit by a grenade at the beginning of the LAST round of the day. I was so pissed, and the guy was laughing at me. Once I got hit in the neck, and the ball didn't explode. I was still in the game, but I was writhing in pain. Finally, during one game of CTF, this guy ran out of paint balls. My cousin just jokingly told him "Why don't you get the flag?" The guy got up, and bolted to the enemy base, got the flag, ran back. He had to jump over a big barrel and he went flying, but he got it! :)

I've done it. You really have to wear clothing all over - no t shirts and shorts. So I recommed doing it in the winter. I did it in the winter but I still got my goggles steamed up all the time which blinded me.

I also got hit in the bare neck and it hurt like hell. It made this big, bloody bruise.

The fear of getting hit makes it all the more fun.

I have twice, I love it. Its just fun to shoot people without care or conscience.

I've done it too, once. Like Porsche said "it was the time of my life". We went like 8 friends to a "summercabin" one of us had... We had a real blast out there. we played for two days in the forest and on the nearby field; lots of cowshit in the field so we had to look out when we ran for cover... :)

but we sure had real fun!

I used to play 2-3 times a year in school. Now I get out about once every 2-3 years. It really is awsome fun. You need about 14 ppl minimum, and maybe 30-40 maximum depending on the size of the field. Its great fun, and if you havent already gone out, then give it a go, its really quite safe, and yeah it donst hurt that much. Most places have a surender rule if your to close, (its the point blank, shots that can hurt) and it pays to obey it.

Yeah, I used to be really into it. I bought two guns, two masks, and ordered paintballs in bulk, basically. We own a couple of acres, so I'd just go in the backyard with a buddy and have some fun.

Damn being GOD really does have its advantages. :D

There used to be one in the middle of town on a large empty bit of land, but it closed down several years ago. Now we have to treck all the way over to he west coast, for the really good places, and thier all rather epensive. (everythings imported from the US, and out $ is way down).

i went paintballing 2 weeks ago ..it's pretty damn fun and I just recently got a Spyder Shutter :D it's pretty cool but the barrel sucks ass so I'm probably gonna get a dye boomstick and hopefully the accuracy won't be too crappy .
