My slowly building system

Alright, thanks to Christmas and some money I have saved up I am finally upgrading my system. So far my front-stage consists of JL Audio VR series 5.25 components [older, no bass(IB)] powered by my 23x4 Clarion deck that only has 2.5 v preouts. I will be ordering the eD 6500 component set to go in kick panels, powered by the Nine.2. Next will be upgrading my deck, not sure exacly to what yet, but something relatively nice with atleast 4v preouts. I have some new Sony 6x9's for rear fill (I know, but im actually pleased with them.) For now my substage is (2) Audiobahn 12's 400wrms, which is o.k for now. I really want the eD 16Ov.2 powered by a Nine.1. My only concern is I can fit the 15in. in my trunk with a ported box. I have a 95 Integra 4 door, so it has a trunk. What do you guys think on the overall system, and about the fitting issue?

I personally am not a huge fan of ED I would rather run subs from RE and comps from CDT, DLS, Adire I think ED's comps might be made by CDT but i dunno what line they would compare to. Wut's your budget and wut's your goal in te system?

I bet it sounds really nice right now. I think the biggest thing you wanna do next is put a 4 ch. on your highs. I dont know the adire model numbers, or the ED ones either so im not sure which amps you are talking about, but it sounds like it's gonna be bad ass.

Ya, but im not looking for the absolute best, or close to. But I am lookin for an overall system that is better than most. My max budget is basically all i listed up there, so about 470 for Sub and Amp. I just want a Great sounding system, honestly im not into the 50hz or 0r 40hz tuning, im just into the low lows so i'll be going to tune around 27hz. My trunk i think is about 20-21in. high and about 50in.wide

28 is my fav. tuning..... For sub and amp do a se15 or sx 15 and bx1500d.

what is the difference between the se and sx. You think a ported box can fit in that trunk space? And why so against the eD sub?

I'm just anit-ED until they are proven to be good in the long run and I think ben is an ass and would much rather deal with nicer people like Dan, scott, Nick, and some others. Diff in se's and sx's are pretty much sq and spl both can get damn loud and both will sound GREAT but the sx will be slightly louder and Se's generally have better SQ. In think sx's have good enough sq for me and i like my bass LOUD n LOW so I would choose that over an SE.....SE's are nice though I got a buddy who runs one daily at 1100 wrms (12.5 more when cars running) and it takes it easily and is DAMN loud....he's got it in a 4 cube box tuned to 30hz.

Alright, but the Component choice is lookin pretty good though right, since there still basically are CDT's. As for the sub, the sx sounds like the choice for me. Will it require a larger box though? Remember im still wondering if i can fit the ported 15 in my trunk. Also on the Hifonics amp, if you werent anti-eD, would it be a toss up between the 1500d an the Nine.1?

The nine.1's rated at 1200wrms, but benches at around 1500wrms, depending on your electrical system. But, the hifonics amp, in most cases that i've heard is overrated. I think i've heard around 1100wrms. Depending on your enclosure, and how much power it can handle, it's a toss up. I believe the Hifonics is what, around $250? And the nine.1 is something like $315. Anyway, i'd go with the nine.1 because of the more power, and kikass warranty. Plus, BEN is a great guy, and will help you anytime with any questions you have.
