Security Light

couldnt find anything obvious in the last 31 pages so here goes. my security light has come on and now stays on all the time. need i worry and how do i shut it off?

I had that problem after I tested my crappy Auto Start Alarm system. After a remote start the Security Light Came on. I never used it again. It reset after an off/on cycle of the ignition. Try disconnecting your battery for 10 min and see if that resets your computer. Otherwise it's something screwy with your stock security system.

I had an interesting one today where I was removing my crappy alarm and getting it ready for a new one when I had disconnected too many wires the truck would start but, wouldn't run. Turns out I disconnected the Security system and without power it doesn't run. OOOpps... Problem fixed and new alarm goes in next week.

Yeah, you need to have to looked at. You are having problems with the Passkey2 system. All GM vehicles are having problems with this. It is usually about $500 to fix it. They just replace the whole system.
