Sometimes I Just Gotta Know Why???

I'm rollin my mom's completely stock 01 accord (4cyl man trans) with my three friends ridin, and I'm minding my own business when the CRV riding behind me pulls into the parking lane and guns it! I wasn't speeding or going excessively slow, just going about 40-45 in a 40 and minding my own beeswax. By the time I realized what was going on and dropped to second, the CRV was at my pass front door, after that I picked up and made a point for her to not ever try that bull on me again.:nono: Yes, HER. It was like a 30 year old woman. I don't know if my mom is known for street racing on the streets of chicago, but this woman made it a point to pass the car.

Anyways, I was pretty pissed off after that. I wasn't in the mood to be racing, but I don't take kindly to people trying to pass me for no reason, CRV or GT-R, I won't go down without a fight. But really, I thought she had a chance to get me since I had an extra 600lbs in the car plus me and she had a headstart. Iguess CRVs are slower than I gave them credit for. Dumb ass lady :headshake

Sorry for the anger post, gotta vent sometimes :banghead:

Or maybe the lady was just in a hurry to get somewhere. Not everyone is trying to race you.

Are you crazy!!! :screwy: Everyone is begging me to race the accord!!! She was no different.

j/k But seriously, she showed no signs of a rush up until that point. No tailgating, she even made a full and complete stop a ways back at a stop sign. Then she just decided to open it up halfway down the block, with or without the direct intent of "racing" my car. Either way, I wasn't havin it. :nono:

Maybe she got a call telling her her house was on fire so she had to rush suddenly :dunno: Maybe she just got tired of abiding by the law and wanted to stick it to the man for a few seconds. But yes, I do realize not every other car on the road is waiting in line for their shot at the almighty Honda Accord... even though it is a speed demon :evillol:

haha crv's are soo soo slow.. me and my friend messed with his moms one time trying to top it out.. had like a 2 mile stretch and didnt have enough runway.. haha.. maybe she just did want part of the accord? or maybe she is looking into buying one and wanted to see the performance of one?

lol i just had a lexus suv try to race me, and a gst. the lexus flored it and i shifted at 5,800 andi was next to it. SO its some muscle bound white dude and he smiles at me as if the suv was fast so i give a light rev so he knows that im going for it when the light changes. So i come close to redline this time and actually use vtec and pull so bad i almost felt bad. Then i pull up behind a gst and i just know hes gonna go for it so he takes off slow and i do too cause im about to turn and then he slams it without even letting me know.. lol so i turned and laughed. Hed better becareful its an eclipse we all know how realiable those are.. haha im sure he blew his turbo or leaked oil by the time he got down the street.

Nice. The reliability part always cracks me up. Infact, I feel like selling this slut car of mine:

And getting this reliable daily commute vehicle:

I feel your pain. I was challenged by a 16 year old in an old Sienna the other day. He kept trying me, so I ran his ass. At the nest light, he was giggling like a little girl. I rolled down my window and told him I'd never raced a minivan before, he told me until he gets his own car, he'll be running his mom's Yota! What a goof. Oh well, it was still fun.

You think it makes a difference wether its a soft top or a coupe? Get the fuck back to playing Gran Turismo on your playstation and upgrading your virtual civic with a "Stage 3" turbo kit, punk. :loser:

For you Honda fanatics, I found this online, I really like the look of it. Props to you if it comes out for production:

I dunno. It looks like a baby CL(Acura not Benz) to me. I really love the current Si though, so I seem to be odd man out on styling and what not. I've seen worse, but the body is not all that impressive IMHO.
