dash back light

the backlight of my dash does not work. ive check the fuses (every single one includin the ones that dont deal with the inside of the car) and everyone is fine. the gauges work, the little lights like the e-brake and high beam lights work but the back light doesnt. what the hell could be wrong?

you might have to take apart the dask and check if the light actually burned out or if there is a loose wire somewhere.

I doubt its a loose wire. There are three wire harness's that connect to the back of your dash. It might be possible a solder point broke. Pull off the gauge cluster (its really straight foward if you need help I'll send some pic's) Depending on how old your car is, take it to the dealership and have that famous 100,000 mile warrenty used!

and they will probably charge you out the ass for the labor

i took the dash apart and i dont know what happened but when i plugged the clock back in it worked. then the next time i turned the car on the clock doesnt work.

I need to replace an instrument cluster bulb, does it just use 194 bulbs? Also, does anyone know how to replace the bulbs that illuminate the heater/ AC control panel?

you take the radio out, then take the middle cubby hole out. this is the tricky part. you have to get the two outside turn knobs off to get the HVAC faceplate to come off.
