i have a 97 rodeo auto v6...recently i was driving down the street and noticed when applying my foot on the accelerator nothing happened, radio was on, heater was on...but truck was not.....had to coast down the hill and pull off the road....after about 30 minutes i was able to start it back up but it soon died again....left the car overnight thinking it was the weather (20 degrees out!) and came back the next day....it started up on the first try....a couple of days ago the same thing happened, but it was warm out and now it just won't start up at all....sounds like it's not getting any gas...will end up taking it to get diagnosed...but wondering if it is the fuel pump going out, or filter??...easy to replace on my own, or have to take it in?? help someone!!!! please!

Turn the key to the on position and listen for the 5-7 humm of the fuel pump. Also, clean the battery up and the grounds to the frame. next think about the fuel filter (if your over 50k I would swap it out for sure).

well the problem turned out to be the crankshaft position sensor. i did change the fuel pump as well, since it was not coming on every time (but i did this before the sensor and it still would not work).
