My wife was told by the dealer that the Millenia's springs have to be replaced around 100,000 miles. She was told they are very expensive, $1,000 per. True or not? How long should they last and how expensive to replace?

We've got 71,000 now. Just wondering what to expect as the car ages.

Nothing wrong now. It was a comment made by a tech at the dealership. The gist was that they are very expensive and must be replaced around 100,000 miles. Not something we look forward to if true. Perhaps even a factor that would contribute to us selling the car before it hits that mileage.

Any truth to this? Any more expensive than other cars for this part?

They are just trying to get in your pocket (really deep in the pocket to) springs and struts are a wear item, they wear out faster the more u beat on it but if you are happy with they way it rides then it must be fine. is your car a 2.3 S or a 2.5L(and yes that sounds a little outragous on the part cost but u never know who is marking(%) the part up...
