Transmition drain Help

is there a drain plug for the tranny fluid. I looked all over for this sucker. I really need help finding it. someone help please. thanks

There is no plug. You have to drop the pan.

am I suppose to drop one side at a time or am I suppose to drop it all at once and take a bath.

I've only done it once before a few years ago. I had the car on 4 jack stands so it was level. I had a floor jack up against the bottom of the pan. Removed all bolts and had a helper gently lower the jack while I held the pan in place. Didnt spill a drop.

Taking a bath, that's half the fun. Most of the time when you get half the bolts out, it will drain from that side anyhow.

Slide your drain pan under the center of the transmission and start the removal process from one corner of the transmission pan by completely removing the bolt. I suggest you remove 2 bolts at a time rotating from one side of the pan to the other. This will allow the pan to start to drain from just one location instead of all over YOU. When you get to the last 2 or 3 bolts, your pan should be at a steady drain. If you have not seen any fluid starting to drain, you may need to persuade it a little with a screw driver between the pan and case. Be careful not to damage the case or the pan with the tool you are using to pry with. The older the gasket, the harder they stick. After you see the fluid that's draining slowing down to a drip, slowly loosen the remaining bolts 1 to 2 turns per bolt, and the pan should start to lower itself. After you clear 3 or 4 inches from the transmission with one corner, slowly lift the pan back up to transmission, and firmly hold it against the transmission with one hand while you remove the final bolt or bolts with the other hand. After all bolts are clear, slowly remove the pan by tilting the corner of the pan down that's farthest from you. Now you should be able to set the pan down and take a little break! Before you slide the pan out from under the car, go ahead and remove the filter from the transmission. Ours just pull's out, while others are attached with bolts ranging from Phillips head screws, to regular valve body bolts holding them up. Inspect the pan in the sunlight if at all possible! It's amazing what you will find in your transmission pan when you look at it with good light!
