That darn clicking sound 99 Taurus

I had the serpentine belt replaced... I think maybe it's not the right belt. I'm thinking they used a belt that's not the v-ribbed type. Could that be causing this clicking sound the car's making of late. It sounds like there's a baseball card in fan housing. It goes away at speed, it's worse in park or stopped.
I just did the drain and fill on the transmission (used B & M Trick Shift, love that stuff). Is that a pain in the butt - or what? I think Ford needs to put about fifty-two more bolts on that pan... Anyhow, I did that and I changed the oil and the clicking sound seems to be quieter. '
There's another sound that started up at the same time. It's like... you're at a light with your foot on the break and the engine groans now and then, and you can feel a deep vibration. This is why I think it's got to do with the belt.
