How long dose turbo last on a tsi

Im thinking of buying a talon tsi with 91 thousand miles and I was just wondering how long does a turbo last.

Basically it has to do with how well the turbo has been taken care of. Letting the car completely warm up before driving, after driving let the car idle for a minute or so (thats what turbo timers are for {if you dont know what the are search}). Just dont beat the shit out of your car, change your oil and filter at 2500-3000 miles! If you take care of your car it will last.

dont worry about the turbo any more than the engine. If it goes, it's 100-150 to replace, or 300-600 for a good upgrade.

Yeah my 1998 gst only had about 85,000 before mine sorry ass t25 blew. Then got crank walk after that. If you really want to see if it's ok take off the intake hose and see if the shaft as any play. I would just look into getting another turbo anyway. :boink:
