man. hubs to replace auto hubs?

my 87 4runner has auto hubs and when i put in 4x4 the light comes on on the dash but the hubs dont ingage will manule hubs fit in there place and howe much worke is it to convert to man.hubs or is there a easy fix for the auto gubs incase it matters its a 22re 5 speed with a 2" suspension lift

Been just putting it in 4WD and taking off without creeping forward to soft engage your auto-locking hubs will slam it engaged and break your auto-lockers PDQ.......need to tear it down and see what you got...you come across broken deformed bits of metal and you have your answer...
