Need Advise

Alright im looking into buying a 1997 Eclipse RS. It looks almost in mint condition except for a dent on the top of the car. it has 105,945 miles on the car. Its a 5-speed. new clutch and everything just put on it. I test drove it yesterday it feels amazing. Its quick, nice looking, and perfect inside. Im not too familiar with the Eclipses, i love how they look though and i've wanted one for a long time. its going for about $7,500. I dont think it should be that high, i've been doing checks on the car and i found that if a dealership was selling the car and it was in PERFECT MINT condition it would only sell for about $6,300. Im ganna be willing to give the guy about $6500. Do you think it should be lower or higher or is what hes selling it for actually a great price???? i need to know by friday. since its privately im having my mechanic take a look at it and if he says everything looks fine then ill buy it but i really need to know if its worth it or not because if its not im not ganna bother getting it.
