replace bulb

im trying to replace the drivers side running light/ low beam (the one on the far left when you face it) on my 2000 vw golf 2.0 gls. the problem is that the battery enclosure is very much in the way of the headlight assbly. anyone know the right way to change it?

Yea, you have to use you slim hands becaust vw didnt put a whole lot of room in there. Unfortunately if you are having a hard time finagaling that bulb and lock washer out of there you will just have 2 take the battery out. There no "trick" to doing it... just takes time and small hands.

okay, not the easy answer, but ill give it a shot...aside from tht; the bulb that is behind the heater controls is out as well...any ideas how to fix that?

That's easier, the center knob pulls off & the bulb is behind it.
