71 Chevelle worth it?

I got a guy willing to sell me a 1971 Chevy Chevelle.
It has a 350Ci engine
th350 tranny
bench seats with a small tear on the driver side. Rest is good.
New paint job (blue)
crager ss wheels
New bf goodrich tires
new dual exhaust
headers
rust free
solid floor/trunk
the transmission as of now is inoperable, but for $150 for a total of 6500 i can have a junkyard tranny put in for me, or for 600 i can completely rebuild the th350 for a total cost of 7000.
Does this sound like a decent price?
