Well boys, and gals. I'm officially off da hook. So I went in today for to talk to a Traffic Referee in at the PD. She told me the best way to get out from this probation thing is to take traffic school and notify my Probation officer that I am doing so. Apparently in Provo you are aloud to take the class once a year, and not once every three years in Orem.
So I called him once I signed up for Traffic School and let him know of the situation, explained how I got the ticket, and told him I was eligible to take Class. He said that was perfectly fine, told me not to get another ticket, and that I was very lucky to end up in this situation. So....still have to drive like a grandma, but atleast I get a second chance. And it's winter here, so I won't be driving very often as planned. Not until Spring anyway. Man it feels good. It's like I beat the system even though I really didn't. But you know, second chances are so great.
Well, thought I would share the great news with every one here. Thanks for the support from all of you guys here. As for me, I'm going drive around, and celebrate my little "victory". This pleases me. Late...

So true...I know if I didn't have 2 tickets on my record and 10 month old expired registration tags, I'd be racing people like a mofugga.

Everybody asks what a dumbass looks like, here it is folks.
10 month old expired tags? I surely hope you're kidding. I can understand a month late for forgetfulness. But 10 months is unexcusable.:eek7:
If I was a cop, I'd impound the car on general principles. :headshake

Just got back from cruising around. And no, I didn't race anyone. Just a little cruise. Can't do anything. Even going 5 over I feel like I'm gonna get pulled over. But I still feel good about coming out on top.
I would really have to agree with Red. 10 months. Sorry to say, and I don't say this often, but you gotta be dumber than me to pull something like that. Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if your car was impounded. Get that taken care of. Late...

blow me...my 2005 registration tags got lost in the mail or something...seriously...and I'm too lazy to go to the DMV to ask what the hell I'm supposed to do, cuz I'm sure as hell not gonna pay 200 fucking dollars again...I've gone 10 months without being pulled over for it, mostly because I've been obeying all traffic laws lately...I'll just wait until I get my 2006 tags.

They can't impound my car...because my car is for all intensive purposes registered...it just doesn't display the fact that it's registered. That's BS.

If you paid your money, then you should be able to get replacement tags for free or for a small 'processing' fee.
I do all that frass through AAA, saves time.
And sorry, I won't blow you. You're not my type.

No, AAA is more like a Jiffylube. Not an auto club. But seriously, just pay for the new tags, you'd save yourself one hell of a fine if he cops catch you. You can drive as safe as you want, but as soon as a cop pulls behind you, notices the tags are old, he'll pull your ass over and quite possibly, fine you. The fine itself could very well be more than it would cost you to get new tags.
turbo2nr, I would love to Turbocharge my Civic. But I have too many miles on it. 140K. I don't feel it is worth it. But I plan on getting an H22 or B18C in it by summer. So who knows, depending on how much I have by then including price for motor, I just may drop in a turbo with the swap. Late...

LOL waaaiiiit a minute...I just realized something...I'm getting ripped on for not being a law abiding citizen, when the reality is the fact that we are all in this forum explains that NONE of us are law-abiding citizens, lol. Anyways yeah that's it.

A few get ripped on in these forums every now and then. I'll tell you that I have been in the past. This is a Street Racing Forum. So of course none of us are law-abiding in that category. But still, for you, take car of the tags. I've learned my lesson when it comes to dealing with the law. More than enough times they don't side with you on any matter because they gotta make their money too somehow. Just take the advice, get new tags, or try and wait it out for two months. It's your call, do what you will. late...

Man, don't listen to civicracer. He was on probation or something and was told that if he gets another ticket, his license would get suspended for a while.
Guess what he did?

My point wasn't that you got out of it, my point is that you were told not to do it and you still did it, just like him.
But, I just realized that it wasn't you who was ripping on him. I was gonna say...
He knows what he's doing. If he gets caught, it's his own fault.

Nah, I just want to let him know from past experience with the cops that he should get the problem fixed. If I have to, I'll use myself as example and say cops will get you for anything. Seriously, look at what happened in my situation. I was following a friend, and I got pulled over and cited for his wreckless driving. So, just avoid those situations with the cops, and think of my dumb experiences, and you'll see they don't take everyone lightly. Late...

I live in BFE, and the cops don't really care about my tags, and I can attest to this...I was pulled over in july, when my tail light was out, and the cop just gave me a warning about the tags. Plus, I abide by all traffic laws now (even the speed limit, really) and my 2006 tags shouldn't be too far away...hopefully they won't get lost in the mail or some bullshit this time.
