2000 Z-71 Electrical question

Hi All -
I am curious if I can simply swap out my factory fog lights with an aftermarket set, using the same wiring and switch.

Thoughts?

Shouldn't be a problem. The wires on the stock are a positive and a ground. Just cut them and splice them into the new lights

check the amp load you blow a fuse or burn up some wire
so first check the fuse for the stock lights and see if it the same .if not the factory wireing is strong enough to handle about 5 to 10 more but to be safe i would run a relay 5 post ford style
