Stock Roof Rack

Anybody know where to get the parts that hold the rack to the roof??

Why yes I do... You can go to e-Bay and pay close to $40 for the rubber grommets and screws, OR you can go to Home Depot and pay $10. I just did this over the weekend, it's a snap.

What you're looking for is a rubber grommet with a screw insert. The ones on your Jeep are a metric, the ones I put in were a 5/8" diameter by 1/4-20 screw. They keep them in the drawers in the fastener (bolts) area of the store. The drawer said "specialty fasteners" on it. The grommets sell for about 95 cents each, and I bought a package of 1" long 1/4-20 thread screws. get the ones with the flat top so your sliders will fit over the top of them!

Well,Idaho,you were right on the money.Went to the local Home Depot
last weekend found the parts and had the rack on in @ 1hr.
Just to be curious,I went to the local JEEP dealer and priced the factory ones....Almost $6.00 ea!!!!!!

dealer= 12 @ $6.00=$72 :eek: H.S.
HD=12@$.95= $11.40 for the well nuts
12 .250/20 flt hd screws @ 4/$1.49 =$5.96
$17.36 as opposed to $72( which by the way would have probably had to have been ordered)..
