Busy Weekend

Cliff Notes: See bottom

I finally got around to postin this up, been busy past few days. Anyways, I had a very nice weekend with a suprising number of races. Most of them occured on Sunday, for some reason no one was on the road on Saturday. Something about a holiday or Christmas, I dunno?

Anyways, I'll start with Saturday. As per usuall, my family headed to the movie theaters to see our Christmas day movie after gifts and dinner (why is it called Christmas dinner when we ate at two?). For those who have yet to see it, I highly recomend Meet the Fockers. Anyways, we're pulling out of the movies, and Im driving, dad's riding shotgun, and moms in the back. My mom is on the cell with my grandparents, so shes not paying to much attention. We pull up to a light that turns onto a access raod, and I look in the rear veiw, and see a nice looking Toyota pull behind us. Its one of the new Celicas, but it doens't have that ugly body kit on it. We turn onto the access roar, and it flys by. It had an aftermarket exahaust that sounded pretty nice. Anyways, my dad just nods as he passes. He looks over at me and says "Go get him." My dad knew exactly what I was thinking, and I punch.

The Benz jumps pretty hard, and I halt his little pull. At 45 he was three carlengths ahead of me, by 55 I had a nose on him. I keep on it up to 75, pretty much walking away from him, and I shut down at 80 about a buslength or two up. We pull up at the next light, hes going straight onto the highway and I'm turning. He looks over and gives us the thumbs up, and I give it back.

Onto Sunday. Sunday started early at around 4:30, and this time I was back in Cassie. For all you D/FW types, I was on 377, when I ran into a buddy of mine. He has an E36 325i, bone stock, and we were just having some fun doing qucik burst acceleration tests down the road. He pulled away at a light to go home, and our little playtime caught the attention of a yellow Lancer, stock with aftermarket wheels and heavy ass tint. I look over, and cant really tell if the driver is looking at me or not, so I decide that I'll punch it if he/she does. He/she doesn't, so I dont either, and we just cruise down past the next two lights. I guess he wanted to take me from a roll, because as soon as we are past the last light for a while, he jumps on it. I'm in StepTronic, doing 60 in fourth. I pop it down to 3rd, and give it some gas to stop the pull. I hold him at bay up to 80 in fourth, not really wanting to race, but just feeling like an asshole, and then let off. I let him pull away to about three carlengths, I slide down to 65, slip into third, then step on it. I pull him in pretty fast, and slide by him doing 85. I pull to carlength ahead, and let off. We pull up at the light, and he finally rolls down his window. He shouts that I have a nice car, and asks what I have in it. I tell him I just got the K&N, and he says thats pretty cool. We give each other the thumbs up, and part our sperate ways.

Next kill was a coupla girls in a newer Civic. I had picked up my buddy, who wants to go meet with a friend of his from Tech that lives out in Denton. He has a Type R teg, and is willing to sell it to my bud for 10k. He had driven his brother's GS-T, and had been bitten by the DSM bug, and was looking at a GS-X for 8k. On our way out, we pass a Civic, and as we go by, the driver jumps on it. I'm just cruisin, not really movin, so they hold next to us, and pace us for about a half mile or so before I get bored and punch it. I bring it from 40-90 (timed its about 4 seconds) and walk away. I let off, and the Civic is comming back up. I do the infamous 'Are you my bitch? No? Then stay off my nuts' tactic, and when they pull to my door, drop back to third and punch it again, bringin it up to 100, this time putting a good five lengths on the Civic. I let off again, and decide to pace the Civic. The girls keep lookin at us, and we keep lookin at them, and when we get to a light, we roll down the window and try to get there numbers. They said that if we had let them won, they would have given them to us. Yeah, I know, I'm not that desperate to shame Cassie to a Civic just for some numbers.

We check out the Teg, and the guy says he'll hold on to it till July so my buddy can get the other 6k he needs for it. On the way back, we play a little bit with another E46 325i, which gets the attention of a Camaro. I've been in the Camaro forums the past day or two trying to figure out what kind it was. I knew from teh badging that it was an RS, and based on its looks, plus what has been said about it, I think it was the 3.8L V6 (I think...which is the most recent V6, a 3.8 or a 3.6...I think the older ones they said were a 3.4). It had an after market exhaust, and that was it. We were crusing at 60, and he slid out into the fast lane, punched it, and pulled to about a half car on me. I would have punched it, but a van in front of me made me slow down, and the Camaro pulled away. I slid out into the passing lane, and jumped on it, and started pulling it in. I think when he saw me, he jumped back on it, cuz it sounded like he went WOT as soon as I got around the van (he was infront of the van about a a length or so up). From 60, we pull up to 110, and slowly, but surely, pull it in. At 90 hes a half length up, and at 100, my nose is at his bumper. At 110, my nose is at the rear seam of his door, and all of the sudden, he hits the brakes. Now then, I hit the brakes, of course, thinking he has a radar detector and it went off. My buddy rolls down his window, and asks if he wants to go again.

He shouts over the exhaust "Why, so I can whup you again?" and he just startes laughing. Whup me? WTF? I was pulling on him, and about to pass him when he it the brake, I just shrug, and my buddy shouts that we know who have won if he didn't puss out. We pull up at a light, and then it hits me. The light goes green, and I let him shoot off like hes all big and bad in his V6 Cammaro. I just start normally, and watch as he slows, realising I'm not gonna race. My freind tells me not to, and as much as I tried, as hard as I had to fight it...I couldn't, and gave in to the dark side.

As I slowly rolled up on him, I dropped into third, and flew by him, emergency blinkers going off, and my arm out the window, flying the bird. I'm sorry. I really am. But I had too...Anyways, We pass him, and I stay on it up to 120 (wow...120 in a 50...thats a really nice sounding ticket...)and let off and make our turn. he didn't follow. However, a very nice looking Suzuki did. We pull up to a stop sign at a set of train tracks, and I give the guy on the bike the thumbs up (I love sport bikes...One day I'll nut up and get one). He gives me the thumbs up back, and says he knew the guy in the Camaro, and that hes an asshole. I laugh and look at his bike, see the Kanji, and smile, telling the guy he had a nice looking Hayabusa. He thanked me, and I asked him if he could show it off. He nods, and making sure there was no traing comming, he jumps on it. My god I want a Hayabusa...He was gone in like, 8 seconds. Just out of sight. And a wheelie the entire way. Moral of the story...Ricer fly bys attratc guys on 9 second bikes who are really cool

I bring it from 40-90 (timed its about 4 seconds) and walk away

:crying:

good one.

What do you run in the 1/4? 11.1 @ 130? :uhoh:

Since your car goes about 15.4 @ 91 mph in the 1/4 (According to Car and Driver), does that mean that your 0-40 time is 11 seconds? That's one helluva machine, even for the "twisties"!

nice kill, those v8 guys are always dicks,

Yeah, that's a pic of mine, and I don't have an aftermarket exhaust and especially not stickers :shakehead I love it just the way it is.

So, when are we gonna race? I drove by schoolcraft quite a few times last weekend. Hopefully it's not gonna snow next time I'm there. Btw, that pic was taken by that church right off of Merriman and 6 mile.

Nice kills. Very good stories. Dude, to get some numbers from some chicks in a Civic. I would lose, because in reality I'm sure they know that you could blow their Civ away anyday. Also, I though your bud was picking up the Type R for like 5K?

Anyway, not trying to start anything there. The dude on the Crotch Rocket sounded pretty cool. I wanted to get one, until I saw my dad's scar on his arm. About 10's long. His entire bicep was split, and now he has a metal plate in there because he flipped on his bike. So I tend to stay away from them now. Your dad is a stud, and good to know you didn't run into any dicks other than the dude in the Camaro. It's nice to meet guys that are decent enough to accept a loss. late...

Type S, yeas, it takes about 4 seconds from 40 to 90 starting in third. I iddn't say 100, I said 90. I havn't been able to get to a track, so I don't know track times. 0 to 60 is somewhere in the 6s, I'm not gonna spend a 100 bucks on one of those GTech timers, a stopwatch and general ability to count tends to do that for me nicely. And, becuase you know jsut so much about BMWs, then I don't need to explain why a 0-100 and the quarter mile are higher. Wait, whats that you arent as smart as you think you are? Fine, I'll explain. When you do a straight through excelleration from 0-100, you'll hit a dead zone right at the open of fourth which literaly sucks the life out of the engine. I believe its around 3-4k rpms.when you get in this dead zone, it takes another good four seconds just to get up to about 65-70. Now then, when you start at 40, you can get it the revs a little higher than just below 3.5k (middle of the dead zone) and you don't suffer the same effects of the straight from a dig acceleration. So, next time you make a comment, why don't you go ahead and do some research, or maybe you could, I dunno, by a BMW. Oh wait, thats right, your uber Acura Type S (Oh, I'm so scared) can smoke any European car, so you don't need a BMW.

CivRacer...Thats the only reason I have yet to buy a Sport Bike. THe general fear of pain, death or dismemberment.

Street Racer-We were in my moms car, a C320. My dad has an E320, but hes not a huge fan of it after taking a ride in his buisness partner's E60 545i, so hes thiking about comming to the dark side, but wants to treat himself, so he's looking at the 645cis, lol. My mom thinks shes gonna get rid of the C320, and get either a 330ci or a Z4.

I knew I shouldn't have believed you when you said you were going 80 at 2000 rpms in 4th, but your "middle of dead zone" topped it! lmfao.

Why can't people just tell the truth damn it?

Why do people have to lie on a racing forum to feel better about themselves and their car? Is it a cool thing to do? He always talks about how his car "caught up 5 carlengths within 2 seconds" or some stupid shit like that.

Lied. Hardly. Its what we call a mistake. For those I actually respect on here (basically everyone that has posted here so far save for Type S. Hes just an ass), I made a simple mistake. Hardly a lie. A lie would be me saying...Type S, I like your car. And I can also admit my mistakes, unlike you.

Driving out to Plano today, I did a simple test. Now, I know this isn't as acurate as you Type S, becuse your internal body clock and ability to count seconds out is tied to the Atomic clock. The approxamate four seconds is 60-90, not 40. My bad. I made a mistake, and I'm sorry.

Now then, Type S, I know that you dont have any adrenaline in your system, so whenever you race, you simply rely on your Atomic Internal Clock and built in visual distance finder to judge everything. However, when most people race, time 'feels' faster or slower, so 2 seconds may be about 4 or so. I've joked with Rednekc about this before. Its the same thing when you have a 'long' or 'short' day. Every day has 24 hours, yet don't you often feel as if you've had a long day. So, I appologize for my mistake.
