Some odd questions

I was out looking at my camaro today, and i noticed the person whomed owned it before me did some things to it performence wise, i put in some super stock spark plug wires and a k and n cold air intake on it, Now my question is how much horsepower am i looking at being gained, i know not much but i am just wondering. also planning to add a flowmaster exhust on it...

Spark plugs don't give you any power , if they are good plugs then they can free up some power by longer / cleaner combustions. The K&N CAI set up may offer from 7 hp - 15 Hp.

might get a little more out of the CAI depending on how badly your car needs the air flow....

Thank you for the info, its nice to know. Also I am getting this tad ...er not so small whining sound. It really whines when i turn, BUT i had my rack and pinion replaced twice because of it and it hasnt gone away. Its on the belt line due to the noise increasing with the rpms. any ideas, i was assuming altenator, but i had that checked out and the fella told me it was recharging at a normal rate and he tried to locate the sound, it was a bit lower from the altenator...

Could just be a worn / lose belt. If not that , you might have water pump bearings blown out. Cheap fix.

that doesn't sound like a belt problem to me... it sounds like a power steering pump problem... maybe somehow its clogged or something to where its difficult to turn... therefore the belt squeals

Well , I'm a nocturnal person ,I sleep about 3 - 4 hours a day if at all. I do quite a few things for a living , My real full time job though is a Home Remodeller / Inspector. On the side I run a part time Pc repair shop and I do tid bit favors here and there on peoples cars , houses , etc. Quite boring actually. I usually post either in the am after 10 a.m. or around 3 - 4 am before I go to sleep. =D

How could i clean that up, or how much is it to replace it if it is not able to be cleaned up?
