!!!Wildcollections RANT!!!!

Hey,

I placed an order with WWW.wildcollections.com mid september to this company and did not recieve the items the next month. I sent them an email asking as to why....one of my items was not in stock apparently. I waited a few more weeks,(near end of october now) I sent another email, no reply. I called, no answer on the phone. I left a message, no relpy. I have been calling at least once a week, nothing at all!!!!! This is the end of December now. What the F am I suposed to do now? This was the second time I ordered from them, so I thought higly of them from the first. But this second order was between the $100-$200 price range. It was paid by money order. Please help.

ps: what cars/stuff you ordered?

i have dealt with this kind of crap through another online retailer. i think there should be a "sticky" on the main page for stuff like this. not to bash reatilers,but only to look after the community when it comes to spending their hard earned money. kind of like a feedback thread for online retailers.
i ordered a few cars from www.diecastcars.tv back in october. they said they had them in stock at the time i placed my order. mid november rolled around and still no cars. i tried contacting them numerous times with no reply.finally, in the third week of december i get a reply saying "sorry for the delay,the truck just came in and they will ship within the next week".
i basically told them to get screwed, return my payment "in full" and that i will never deal with them again.
if there are two things that piss me off about online retailers,it is when they "claim to have an item in stock when they don't and no communication if there is a problem,error or delay with your order".
i have paid more for cars at certain places only because they claim to have it in stock only to get the crappy end of the stick when i find out that they did not.

Unfortunately, more of the online die-cast shops are very private, and do run short on stock many times. I get a similar "backorder" and "out-of-stock" thing with www.exoticar.com. However, this website isn't so private as some of the other online shops its a little more commercial, and is I think the #1 preferred online diecast shop and is the most popular. One time I called on a "backorder" on one of my cars. The reason they said that the cars get backordered are because majority of the expensive model cars sold to you that are imported and not US made/owned like Kyosho, AutoArt, Minichamps get stuck with US customs alot. I don't know why but alot of the cars get comphiscated. But the ones from Asia are the ones comphiscated the most. a possible reason is, the size of the blackmarket and the amount of "fake yet top-line-looking-and-genuine-looking" products manufactued in China, like boot leg DVD movies that would be in the movies still today, and fake yet very genuine and high-quality and-bags and watches etc. I'm sure you've heard some of the stuff sold in CHinatown New York, and some of the police raids to comphiscate and catch blackmarketers who manufacture and sell products that look very near to real. With that going on, the US has done alot of work to stop boot-leg copies of stuff and the sales of it to avoid the companies from losing income. So with the model cars, if there was a container full of Kyosho model cars, the US has reason to believe that they can be fake copies of real model cars, and might destroy the hobby industry. Stuff like that. Get my drift?

This is why i go to Hobby Stores, and if theres somthing that i just need, i get it from www.exoticar.com

The thing I like about Exoticar is it's not just an internet dealer. They have actual stores so you don't have too much worry of them just packing up shop and leaving town with your money.

I never ordered from them through the internet cause I live in Mass and just goto there former warehouse in Framingham and now there store in Avon. Sometimes I would go thee for a certain car and they'd be out but they'd always get it for me in the end.But I would highly reccomend them to anyone.


Sidenote: The guy who owns it kicks ass cause he is a big time car enthusiast and very cool. Last time I saw him(long time ago) he owned a Ferrari 550 Marenello, 360 Modena and the new 911(996). He bought the Modena and 911 as soon as they were available here, told you it was a logn time ago LoL. All 3 were parked outside and he talked to me for an hour about them and let me sit in them no problem. Like I said very cool guy.

I was going to get two cars from Exoticar, but then my mom said she dident want to give her creditcard number out to a site that isent secure. I ahd no idea what she was tlaking about.

i said that all of you use it and its safe, but she said she will call them and stuff.

Thanks so far. How do I go about reporting an internet store to the bbb? I usually use exoticar, but had a bad experience wiht them once, and their prices where a little hight for me anymore. Usually I resort to ebay these days.

What kinda bad experience did you have with exoticar?

Stick with ebay. An individual seller doesn't get much from cheating you out of 30 bucks. The only store i've bought from recently its Collectible Diecast. They're not that fast but they got me my items.

ive ordered some cars from exoticar before. i dont reccomend orderin the 2day air because it took like 4 days for the items to come and the normal shipping is 5-7 days anyway

oh ya one more thing is that i bought a kyosho e320 from ebay and when i got it the front driver wheel wasnt attached so i would probably stick with exoticar because i havnt experienced any problems with the models

I'll just stick with Exotricar. I dont trust ebay.

Ebay has been my 2nd best to exoticar.
Story:
I ordered an impreza form exoticar once. Said it was in stock on the site. They sent the wrong one 3 times. Not even wrong color, wrong model. I sent it back, each time, asking why they keep sending it back to me. The person on the phone I spoke to said they have a policy, that if they don't have the in stock item, they will send you something like it. I cancelled that order. But I have ordered form them since. This was just a matter of price for my order with wildcollections. They seemed cheaper at the time. But I just do not prefer to use exoticar for the 3 cars I ordered from wild.

i quess he'll being the one laughing when i dont get my shipment... :uhoh:
