Alright y'all, radiators a piece of crap so i've gotta replace it. I'm lookin at the cheapest being 228 or so. But i figure i can do it myself? I have virtualy every tool known to man. But my uncle says i need special tools....put for a radiator? But i doubt it. Anyone have any insight onto this it'd be much appreciated! I'm seriously looking to save money. If no special tools are needed i'm goin to attempt it!

Tools are needed, but it's very easy to get the radiator out. I can't imagine anyone having problem with it. Getting the cooling fan off the engine requires a special tool, and he maybe referring to this. What year is your Ranger? This applies to 83-92, as this is all I have worked on. I imagine not too many will be different.
First thing I would do is make sure you have all the tools that fit. If you don't you'll have to put it back together and drive up to the auto parts store.
Drain the coolant. There's a drain valve for it. Unhook the upper and lower hoses. Unhook the transmission lines if it's automatic. Unbolt the two upper bolts, pull the radiator (up) and it will be out.
It's easy, will take you about 20 - 30 minutes.
