I have a new idea for myself.

Okay, I had this crazy idea today and I just want some agrees and disagrees on whether I should do it or not. So here it goes. I wanted the 2g body because of its sexyness, thats it. I was going to buy a 2g GSX/TSiAWD and do the works. But what if I got a 1g with the 6bolt already in it, rebuild it and really blow it out the ceiling(With no down time due to my 2g daily driver). And then keep my 2g GS for my daily driver? That way I could have sexy 2g daily driver, and then the power wagon 1g AWD... what do you think about that idea? Im open to suggestions.

Other option...should I just save and get the 2gAWD...

doesn't sound like a bad idea. but i like having my "power wagon" as my daily driver. i don't see the point of having a better car that you're not driving. cause some civic will pull up to your gs, and smoke you. you will be screaming the whole time where's my real car, my 1g. but it won't matter.

Yeah I thought of that...but. I dont want to deal with the downtime of the more serious stuff. Plus I need something to "learn on". I dont want to pay out the butt for 2gAWD and then screw something up, and not have anything to drive. However I really honestly want a 2g more. Its just reliability, driveability, and other things like that. Thanks for the input.

if you really want a 2g gsx then just save and get one. it never pays to buy one car then sell it to get the one you really want

And then there is the question if I really want AWD or FWD. Sure I want AWD but there is a 2gGST just up the road and I know if I offered him cash, he'd sell it. And its in super good condition and pretty low miles. Its his company car and he works out of state. And he's never home. But his brother could take care of it all for me. I know him pretty well. So...Its all so confusing for me right now. Plus im turning 18 in 4 days, and my whole family would help me out. Im having probs finding a 2g AWD 5speed around here for a decent price.

Don't know what your zip code is but I searched 300 miles around chattanooga and found a few (although they are not $8000.00 or less)

http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/results.jtmpl?model=ECLIP&body_style=&color=&max_mileage=&doors=&engine=&fuel=&drive=AWD&transmission=&start_year=1995&end_year=2005&min_price=&max_price=&distance=300&certified=n&advanced=&advcd_on=y&make=MIT&address=37401&search_type=used&x=51&y=9

I just did advanced search for eclipses only with awd

Ehh, I figure i'll offer the guy some money when I get it. If he doesn't sell it ill wait it out and buy an AWD. Im not going for any huge amount of HP, but i wanna build it pretty strong. How many hp/tq would make it suck really bad as a daily driver? Too much traction loss. And I hear things about breaking axles when you put a LSD in a FWD car. True?
