my 97 z28 does not like a clutch dump it wont spin and i think its slipping the clutch...could it be a slave cylinder doing this dirty deed or is it strictly clutch related???

Could be the clutch disc itself. Recomend getting a stage two performance pak clutch set up if your going to be dropping the clutch for burn outs and crap like that. They last a long long time. 300% longer than a OEM clutch under equal wear. You also may want to check your pilot bearing ( throw out bearing ) make sure your clutch is actually engaging all the way. Under your car , Where the engine and tranny mount together around the bottom side of the bellhousing should be a inspection panel , remove it and look for warped / broken or damaged items , such as peices , shavings , dry spots , a large amount of clutch dust.

That will do it too. The clutch is supposed to remain dry as a bone

pilot bearing is the small bearing the input shaft slides into...not the same as the throw out bearing..the 93-97 cars have the pressure plate and throw out bearing in one whole unit..

get rid of that stocker and get a mcloed or spec stage 3...have your flywheel turned before the new one goes in too

have you noticed a decrease in gas mileage? a slipping clutch will allow higher crusing rpms and drink up more gas. its a bit of a give away.
