Turn Lights off

Is there any way, at night, to turn the headlights off-while you are driving?

Jim, There sure is. The Twilight Sentinel setting knob on the dash has "Min" and "Max" settings. Run the knob down toward the "Min" setting and you should here a "Click" meaning that the Twilight Sentinel is now turned off and the headlights will go out. Hope this helps!

Well, I'll be **************. I have been driving this car for years, and all this time I thought all that the twilight sentinal did was adjust how long the lights stayed on after you get out of the car.
Now I feel absolutely stupid......

does this work for DRL's? I know I tried it, but it didn't work. I know doing the above will work if the car is in park, but that's about it for my 99'. I'd like to drive when it's dusk out with my fog lights and parking lights on ---- I love that look.

I know I tried to disconnect a wire under my hood per some other post, but it ended up giving me some issues with my electrical part of my ride --- so I re-connected it.

I think its '97 and below, you can't turn the lights off while driving, that feature was added later.

In my 95 Aurora I simply turn the twilight sentinal off and then I can turn the headlights on and off at will, no matter what time of day or night. But my car doesn't have daytime driving lights. I think they came along in later models. But then again, maybe something's broken and that's why I can do that.

Can you turn them off when driving or parked? I read something about this issue when I had a membership to all data.

In my 95 I can turn the headlights off while driving or while in park. As long as the twilight sentinal is turned off, the sky is the limit. As long as the twilight sentinal is turned off I simply turn the headlights off using the switch on the steering column. In fact, I never really utilize the twilight sentinal. I don't know if this helps.
