gas tank removal

hey has anybody removed and reinstalled a gas tank off a 2g awd. in my hayes book it sounds pretty simple, remove exhaust,driveshaft and your good to go. but has anybody actually done this and have any tips or complaints? im mounting two batterys in the back seats and im gonna weld some bolts facing up (roof) so that i have something to tie them down with. i would build a tray to hold them but i think that route will actually be harder to perfect it. also unecessary weight.

oh do you think thers a big enough gap between the tank and shell for the head of a bolt?
