91 Mighty Max No Start Click at ECU

Intermittently, the truck won't start. Doesn't turn over, but I hear a clicking noise from ECU when I turn ignition key. Can get car started by push/jump starting. Doesn't seem to be related to car hot/cold. I replaced ECU about 18 mos ago with a remanufactured unit--problem then was no spark. Does it sound like the ECU is out again with different symptoms?

Second that for sure, crack it a couple of times from below with a rubber hammer it just might start then replace it if it does.

The starter relay is right next to the ecu... see if that gold box is "clicking"

My 92 did the same thing, started a few time by jumping off and always when push started, I had cleaned the terminals on battery, checked all wire connections, still nothing. Turns out it was the starter, 39.95 at autozone for lifetime warranty starter, truck running fine now.
