It was sad to see it go, but I couldn't afford the insurance anymore. It was sold to a sophmore in high school who doesn't even have his liscense yet or know how to drive a manual. I guess I can't complain, they did buy the car, I just know I'm gonna miss it. So it's on to find a new car, with lower insurance premiums....sigh. Any ideas?

aww that sucks, a fast good insurance car, id try an Chevy S-10 Extreme, V6 4.3 Liter engine i believe. Its a pickup so i wouldnt expect insurance to be high.

Or you could take the money and go old school with a real sleeper. 1970 VW bug, then put the twin turbo 3000cc engine in it for 5k. Have one hell of a sleeper and one very fast car. :bigthumb:

That is quite the replacement for a TSi dont you think?

That sucks that you had to give up your ride.....how about picking up a 240Z?? I mean shit, look at Redneck's ride now, its no slouch, and insurance won't rape you for it.

Hey, turbo2nr do you always mean to put the number 1 at the end of every post??

And to 97 Tsi, I'm sorry to hear about your talon, I almost bought one myself, umm in terms of not raping the insurence I dunno maybe a Nissan Sentra, but those aren't as fast as ur used to, sorry I can't really be of any help.

hey get drunk and try to forget

lol...i'm one step ahead of you man.

I appreciate the condolences, I have been keeping an eye out for a new car, but in order to get a sizable drop in my premium, I have to go with a domestic. My insurance agent told me it would be $302 a month to insure a base model integra...that's $20 more a month than my talon. I may be going at this the wrong way, perhaps I'm gonna have to go shopping for a new insurance company. At any rate, thanks everybody, keep the ideas coming.

Buy a 2nd generation NA RX-7 and swap in a 3rd gen turbo 13B. Insurance is suprisingly low on the 2nd generation 7's.

Sup dude. Got a suggestion. How much are you looking to spend?
My suggestion is get an old Impreza L model. Like a 93. You can pick one up for like 2k. Then spend 9k and get the WRX engine in it from a company who will install the engine and all and supply everything for 9k. Might be a little much but one hell of a sleeper and it should be cheap on insurance if you get the 4 door.

Did someone say se-r sentra? Trust me they are not as slow as my 17inch wheel, and bad driving made them to be. THat really sucks that you had to give up that car though.

focus 3 door hatch w/ jackson racing supercharger would be cool. or i also like the imprezza w/engine swap.

My advice on what you are trying to get. If anything get a 4 door and a 4 banger cause insurance should be hella less.
