How do you change a headlight on a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am?

Remove the 'Ram Air' plastic piece up front. Should be held in with 8 plastic tab things.
Look at the top of the headlight lenses, and there should be two metal tabs for each lense. These need to be carefully away and up. Once those have been removed the lense should come right out.
Be patient when putting the lenses back in place, it might take some time to get the lense lined up correctly with the tabs.
Good luck.

the tabs are a pain to get out... push them toward the engine first then pull up...

Use a fork shaped trim tool or a stiff wire , get it around the plastic tab and pull straight out. They are reusable this way. Try not to bend them when you pull it only makes it harder. If you like you could replace them with pull tab removable tabs , simply pull out the center and the tab is unlocked and alot quicker for future changing.
