Hi

what is a heater core, i can get one new cheap for a backup. the guy says they go down around 80-90K miles, Is it worth getting as a backup, again, what is it, what does it do?

would it fit a '99, it's from a '98 model?

I do plan on keeping the truck indefinately.
thanks

don't know who you talked to but I have not heard of any +98 heater cores going. If you are worry about it, flush your rad every year, and I'm sure you can get 200k out of it.

Thanks a bunch amigo-2k! I'll pass. I do want to buy spare parts when they are very low cost, but not if they are likely not necessary, so I APPRECIATE your help!!!
