Which tire?

Please help me out here. Let me know which tire you would chose if you were looking for great dry/wet traction, steering response, and treadwear (noise factor isn't too big of a deal). Thanks.


Kumho supra 712s

Falken ZE 502s

Pirelli P7000 Super Sports

Toyo Proxes T1-S

i've only used the falkens so i would vote for them (but the polling function isn't working). but the kumhos are also very comparable from what i've read. they're both priced well and provide excellent treadwear. the kumho is more of a summer tire where the falken can be used year-round (if you don't drive through a lot of snow).

the pirelli and toyo are both expensive.

The Kumho supra 712s are really hot right now.
They hold up to a beating have a good combo of wet/dry traction and mainly they dont cost a ton of money.
The Falkens are a good tire, as well, better dry grip than the Kuhmos.

The P7000 are over priced for what they offer, good tire but, not for the price.

I never recommend Toyo anymore after my horrible experinece with the company and their tires. The T1-S is a very good in the dry, but like the rest of Toyos line, they suck in wet conitions.

Sorry, but that is completely wrong.

The T1 Pluses sucked in the wet. The T1-S replaced them, and they're one of the best wet weather tires I've ever seen.

I was on a rain soaked track, and my car was sideways most of the time with T1 Pluses. My buddy's car with T1-S tires had lap times that were almost as quick in the wet as they were in the dry.

Kumhos... well lets just say they're made in Korea, and what other automotive related things came from Korea? One that comes to mind is the Daewoo, which tested the worst in collision test... Kia??? Not being racist or anything, just calling it as I see it. Pirelli's rubber is just too soft and gummy, and Falkens to me are more like knock offs of the big boys. I would definitly choose the T1-S, or even the Yoko Paradas even though they're not listed.

I would go for Kumho 712s.
It has AA/A rating( extra A for the wet traction) 280 tread wear and the low price.

This is compared to the competition such as the PPS03 and the KDW's the evacuation of those tires, are far superior to that of the T1-S.

And for the price of the T1-S I expect more out of them.
So when I say they suck, that is a bold statement I don't generally use, but when you have other tires that are in the same class of tire and cost less, and perform better all around, that is the response you get.

My experience with Toyo, their service, price, and performance was enough for me to throw my last set right in the dumpster with 7/32nds of tread left because they would not guarentee their product, like they claim they would. Nor did they perform as they claimed they would.
Toyo has a reputation of spending more on advertising than customer service, and that is what I got.

I feel you will get the same performance (maybe a little better with the T1S in the rain) from the Toyo T1S and the Kumho 712s. The only difference really is price. If money wasn't a problem I would also recommend the BFG g-force TA KDW or KDWS.

You realize the T1s and the 712s are not all season tires though. THey will suck in the snow.

who cares about snow, you can always move to OUTRAGIOUSLY HOT CLIMATE AREA'S ..!!!!!!!!

how come you didn't have nitto 450's on the poll..i've had 2 sets of kuhmo's they just don't last that long. they wear out way too quickly, great traction when first bought, but if you go on a long trip better check them often.....had a pair on the front that stared spliting and showing the courd 150 miles into the 300 mile journey....also had sets too fairly new that had knots in the side walls and in the tread. but the price can't be beat.:spit:

Ask anyone about tires and they will tell you that Shittos are just that. Crap.

You want long lasting tires you are not going to get very sticky in the corners. You want sticky tires and the tires are not going to last that long.

I still stand by my Pirelli P700's :finger4:

I like my paradas.

I have been running Pirelli PZero Assimetricos for almost two years now. Great all-around tire. Wet traction, dry traction, wear. I am recommending the P7000s because from my experience, Pirelli makes a great product.

However, Pirellis don't look so good. I just got Dunlop SP9000s for my rear tires and I must say, they look 2x better!
